On Agreeing to the Resolution — H RES 473 — Providing for consideration of the bill (H.R. 256) to repeal the Authorization for Use of Military Force Against Iraq Resolution of 2002; providing for consideration of the bill (H.R. 1187) ESG Disclosure Simplification Act, and for other purposes; and for other purposes

This resolution sets forth the rule for consideration of H.R. 256 (repealing the Authorization for Use of Military Force Against Iraq Resolution of 2002). It also sets forth the rule for consideration of H.R. 1187 (Corporate Governance Improvement and Investor Protection Act), including the adoption of the text of a Rules Committee print as an amendment in the nature of a substitute. The bill also provides (1) that certain procedural requirements relating to the termination of national emergencies do not apply to H.J.Res. 46 (terminating the national emergency concerning COVID-19 declared by the President on March 13, 2020); (2) for the adoption of H.Res. 467 (providing for budget allocations for the Committee on Appropriations); and (3) for consideration of multiple measures under suspension of the rules (i.e., en bloc).
